Publication Ethics

The editorial board of the Journal of Early Childhood Education Management (ECEM), Suan Dusit University, has established guidelines and good practices to comply with the guidelines and standards of ethics for the publication of academic work for the operation of the journal and related parties. The roles and responsibilities of three groups of people who are in line with the journal's publishing criteria are defined: journal editors (editors), article reviewers (reviewers), and article authors (authors). They have studied, understood, and complied with the following regulations:

Duties of Editor

  1. The editors are responsible for reviewing and examining all articles submitted for publication in the Journal, considering the content that is consistent with the objectives of the Journal, checking the quality of the articles in the evaluation process, and retaining the right to make the final decision on the consideration for publication in the Journal.
  2. The editors shall maintain the transparency of research with ethical standards and shall be ready to retract publication or correct errors if notified or requested by the authors.
  3. The editors evaluate original articles based on academic merit and without commercial or personal interest.
  4. The editors make decisions to review manuscripts impartially to ensure quality content without any bias, considering the importance, novelty, and clarity of the research article, as well as its relevance to the journal's scope.
  5. The editors will not publish any information related to the articles submitted for consideration before publication.
  6. The editors take every step to ensure the quality of published articles, to ensure the quality of published research.
  7. The editors will promptly and thoroughly investigate any suspicion of research misconduct in accordance with the appropriate authority.

Duties of Reviewers

  1. The reviewers conduct evaluations of articles in their fields of expertise, focusing primarily on the quality of the articles and conducting constructive, detailed reviews based on academic principles and critical reasoning, without bias or personal opinions, and without any conflict of interest with the authors. Reviewers must report their evaluation results within the timeframe specified by the editors.
  2. The reviewers evaluate the received manuscripts by considering their originality, academic value, completeness of content and language structure, clarity of hypothesis/objective, clarity of presentation and organization of the article, academic accuracy, discussion of results, and academically sound citations, as well as providing comments and suggestions that are useful for the quality of the article.
  3. The reviewers should not disclose any information related to articles submitted for consideration before publication.
  4. The reviewers must not have any conflicts of interest with the authors or other reasons that prevent them from providing independent opinions.
  5. The reviewers must notify the editor if any evidence of any research ethics violations is found in the article being reviewed.

Duties of Authors

  1. The authors’ work must be unpublished or in the process of being published anywhere before.
  2. The authors must certify that the work written is based on facts from the study, does not distort information and does not contain false information.
  3. The authors must not copy the work of others and must always provide references when presenting or referencing the work of others in their own articles.
  4. In case the editors are aware that the author has plagiarized or submitted work to another journal, the editors will cancel and withdraw the article and notify the relevant parties and/or the original organization, depending on the severity of the case.
