States and Problems of Parental Support Children to Connect with Nature

Abstract

This survey research objective was to study states and problems of parental support children to connect with nature in three aspects: 1) giving opportunity to close with nature 2) organizing nature materials and space arrangement at home 3) supporting nature play. The sample is parents of children in kindergarten 3 at Mitrajitwittaya school under the office of the Private Education Commission 2022, 96 people. The research tools comprised a questionnaire. The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, and content analysis. The research findings found that the state of parental support for children to connect with nature was at a moderate level of performance (ð‘ĨĖ…= 3.18). The highest scores were for supporting nature play (ð‘ĨĖ… = 3.75), giving opportunity to close with nature (ð‘ĨĖ…= 3.24), and organizing nature materials and space arrangement at home (ð‘ĨĖ… = 2.56), respectively.

            The most problem that parents encountered was organizing nature materials and space arrangement at home. Due to a lack the areas for planting the trees. followed by giving opportunity to close with nature. Due to parents finish work at late night consequently, they have no time and supporting nature play. It was found that parents were worried about their children’s safety.
