Teaching Swimming by Applying Color-Based System: A Suan Dusit University' s Strategy

Abstract

This article will present information on teaching swimming in a color-based system. This system has been used effectively by Suan Dusit University. The color-based swimming method is taught to students, personnel and children of personnel within Suan Dusit University. Through the studies of important documents, key information from reliable sources and evidence-based studies, which Included informal interviews with people who took part in research trials and events related to teaching swimming at Suan Dusit University combined with designed methods of teaching swimming using the color- based system at the university’s swimming pool, which allows learners to truly practice through the development of swimming skills until they become proficient with systematic supervision by trained teachers. Moreover, the system can also be applied to teaching swimming in the event that there are learners with different swimming skills
