Early intervention program for children with special needs
Abstract
Today, the number of children with special needs is increasing every year. These children have different types and characteristics of disabilities and require special assistance and support in order to enter in the education system offered by the government which is tailored to each child’s abilities. To achieve that, it is necessary to provide early intervention and educational management beginning in an early life under 3 years of age by assisting and promoting these children’s learning and development to reach their maximal potential. It emphasizes the role of families in working with professionals and providing ongoing child support both at home and at the center, school or hospital. This allows these children the opportunity to develop their potential from the beginning and be ready for learning in the education system that is suited for their condition. As a result, these children would have meaningful learning, achieve the special education management’s goals, and effectively live their lives in society.
