Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The Journal of Early Childhood Education Management (ECEM), published by the Faculty of Education, Suan Dusit University, is a semi-annual journal, published online twice a year (Issue 1 January-June and Issue 2 July-December). It is an academic journal listed in the database of the Thai-Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), Group 3. This journal quality accreditation is effective from January 1st, 2025, to December 31st, 2029. ECEM aims to publish academic works, including research articles and academic articles related to early childhood education, primary education, special education, , and other related to early childhood, primary education and special education of children age birth through 12 years old or from birth to grade 6, in the scope as follows: 1. Early childhood education 2. Primary education 3. Fundamental education 4. Special education 5. Educational administration 6. Curriculum and teaching 7. Measurement, evaluation, and quality assurance 8. Statistics and research 9. Technology and innovation 10. Psychology education 11. Health and physical education 12. Methodology of Teaching English, and 13. other related to early childhood, primary education and Special education.

Article consideration criteria
1. Academic work submitted for consideration for publication must be in the form of an academic article or research article and must be an original work that has never been published in any journal before and is not currently being considered for publication in any other journal.
2. All published articles must undergo academic validity assessment (Peer review) by at least three experts in the field or related fields from various institutions. The assessment is double-blind and must be approved by the editorial board.
3. The journal accepts only articles that comply with the guidelines or conditions set by the journal. *Please see additional details at Guidelines for Preparing Original Articles and Submitting Articles.

Manuscript preparation
1. Authors must prepare the original article using Microsoft Word, A4 paper size, using TH SarabunPSK font, formatting the content in 1 column, no longer than 15 pages, and submitting the original file in .doc and .pdf file formats.
2. Original articles, both academic and research articles, must contain the following general components:
     2.1 Title: Clear and comprehensive, including key content, in both Thai and English.
     2.2 Author Names: Include the full names, surnames, affiliations, and email addresses of all authors, both in Thai and English.
     2.3 Abstract: In both Thai and English, no more than 300 words, summarizing the text in no more than two paragraphs. At the end of the abstract, include 3-5 keywords.
3. Research articles should be structured according to the following order: introduction, objectives, hypothesis (if any), research conceptual framework, relevant literature, research methodology, research results summary, discussion of results, recommendations, acknowledgements (if any), and reference list.
4. Academic articles should be structured in the following order: introduction, main content, conclusion, recommendations (if any), and reference list.

Article Submission
1. Authors can submit academic work for publication consideration throughout the year or only during the period specified by the journal through the online journal system.
2. Once the author submits the article to the system, the editorial department will notify the preliminary review results through the journal system only.
3. The editorial team will notify the results of various operations or contact the author via the thread of the article that the author first submitted to the system, and the author must reply and submit the files for any corrections to the article in the same system thread only.

Writing a reference list
Authors must list all references cited in the body of the article using APA style citation format (7th edition) and arrange the references alphabetically.

Publication Fees
There are no processing and publication fees.
