A Programme Evaluation of the Doctor of Philosophy degree in Development Education (Revised 2561 B.E.), the Faculty of Education, Silpakorn University

Abstract
This research was aimed at evaluating the programme Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Development Education using CIPP evaluation. The target group for a quantitative research comprised 5 programme management committee members, 20 current students, and 10 alumni. The target group for a qualitative research comprised 5 programme management committee members, 2 special instructors, 3 alumni, and 2 graduates users. Research tools using questionnaire and in-depth interview guidelines. Data analysis using descriptive statistics and content analysis.
Programme evaluation revealed that: 1. Context: The programme was rated at a highest level of propriety by all target groups (M=4.64, 4.69, 4.66). 2. Input: The programme was rated at a highest level of propriety by the all target groups. (M=4.54, 4.63, 4.57). 3. Process: The programme was rated at a highest level of propriety by all target groups (M=4.73, 4.73, 4.77). 4. Output: The programme was rated at a high level of propriety by the programme management committee members (M=4.24) and at a highest level by alumni (M=4.50). 5. Guidelines for programme improvement consisted of 5.1 Programme communication; 5.2 Introducing participatory programme management; 5.3 Connecting the goals of programme subjects to learning activities; and 5.4 Developing language skills and research ethics.
