Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to develop a problem-based learning activity on a web application for programming in block languages combined with artificial intelligence to promote the application development ability and digital technology use of vocational certificate students at Phetchaburi Technical College. 2) to study the application development ability of students. 3) to study the digital technology use ability of students.  4) to study the students' opinions on problem-based learning activities on a web application for programming in block languages combined with artificial intelligence. The sample group in this research consisted of 32 second-year vocational certificate students. The sample was selected by simple random sampling. The research instruments were 1) structured expert interviews, 2) learning activity plans, 3) learning website media, 4) application development ability test, 5) digital technology ability test, and 6) student opinion assessment forms. Data were analyzed by statistics, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results of the research showed that 1) the learning activities of second-year vocational certificate students learning with problem-based learning activities on a web application for programming in block languages combined with artificial intelligence were suitable and applicable to the sample group. 2) The results of the study showed that the students' application development ability was at a very good level (with an average score of 2.60, standard deviation equal to 0.44) 3) The results of the study of students' ability in using digital technology were at a very good level (mean equal to 3.50, standard deviation equal to 0.60) and 4) The results of the study of students' opinions had the highest level of opinions (mean equal to 4.51, standard deviation equal to 0.13).
