Purpose in Life and The Difference of Learning Achievement of Student in Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thailand National Sports University Chiang Mai Campus

Abstract

The objective of this research was to study the level and relationship of purpose in life to the learning achievement of student in Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thailand National Sports University Chiang Mai Campus.  Data were collected from a sample of 99 people using the purpose in life scale.  Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation coefficients. The results of the research were as follows:

Purpose in life of student in Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thailand National Sports University Chiang Mai Campus are very high. ( = 191.67, SD = 2.09)

Purpose in life that correlate with the learning achievement of student in Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thailand National Sports University Chiang Mai Campus these include connectedness to oneself and others (r=0.279, p=0.005), meaning of life (r=0.277, p=0.006), self-worth (r=0.266, p=0.025) and determination (r=0.208, p=0.039).
