Proposed Guidelines on Developing Learning Management Competencies of Early Childhood Student Teachers: A Case Study of Rajabhat Universities

Abstract

used in this particular research included an interview form, observation form and guidelines on focus-group questions. The data were analyzed using content analysis. The research results revealed 1) states and problems in the aspects of (1) teaching and learning management—creating learning experience plans, comprehension of the curriculum, classroom management, and application of media and technology, (2) learning environment establishment—classroom structures, lack of The objectives of this study were to 1) analyze the states and problems of learning management of early childhood student teachers at Rajabhat universities and 2) propose the guidelines for developing learning management competencies of early childhood student teachers at Rajabhat universities. The target groups included 12 early childhood student teachers, 12 supervisors, and 10 experts in early childhood education. The tools materials and security, and positive conversations in classrooms, and (3) assessment—lack of diverse assessment methods and tool quality testing; and 2) improvement guidelines in the aspects of (1) teaching and learning management—monitoring working of students, (2) learning environment establishment—supporting students, teachers, and supervisors to corporately design the teaching environment that enhances child development and to acquire further information about their families that leads to a better understanding about their differences, and  (3) assessment—selecting appropriate tools, testing assessment tool quality, and developing a child development assessment manual.
