The Efficiency Study of Instructional Activities on World Current Events For Senior High School Students

Abstract
This article aims at reporting the results of the study of the efficiency and improvement of the instructional activities regarding world current events for senior high school students ,which was the result of second phase of Proposed Instructional Activities on World Current Events for Senior High School Students. Implementation of the research and development model (R&D) The purposes of this study were 1) to study the efficiency of the instructional activities regarding world current events for senior high school students, and 2) to improve the instructional activities regarding world current events for senior high school students. The researcher studied efficiency and improvement of the instructional activities regarding world current events for senior high school students concerning the trial results, the appropriateness and feasibility assessment, and the focus group discussion. The results were as follows: 1) The correspondence of the instructional activities with the subject aims and the encouragement of the students’ achievements of learning objectives were at the highest level of appropriateness and feasibility. In line with many experts, the developed teaching and learning activities were practical as the students were able to effectively perform the activities in accordance with the learning objectives. 2) The instructional activities regarding world current events for senior high school students were improved in terms of 2.1) learning objectives, 2.2) period of time, 2.3) materials and resources, and 2.4) the use of language.
