Problem-based Learning for Elementary students

Abstract
Problem-based Learning or PBL is, one of the best teaching models that can used to improve the quality of learning of the elementary students. Problem-based learning enable students to develop critical thinking, problem solving, make decisions, and creatively thinking. Students in Problem-based learning have there is also an opportunity to seek self-directed learning resource sand involved more in learning and practicing.Teachers in Problem-based learning act as facilitator that give an advice and stimulate the learners. Problem-based learning consists of 5 steps; 1) Prepare students /Group process 2) Identify and expand problems 3) Research the knowledge 4)Application of knowledge 5)Assessment and feedback. The importance of such a study would be a well understanding of Problem-based learning among elementary teachers. Not only well understanding but also integrating Problem-based learning into the teaching and learning in different contexts. This would lead to a powerful movement which would enhance development of people and society, balanced and sustainable.
