THE CONSTRUCTION OF THREE-TIER DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR DETECTING PHYSICS MISCONCEPTIONS IN FORCE AND LAW OF MOTION USING FOR THE 10th GRADE STUDENTS

Abstract
This research were purposes to construct the tree-tier diagnostic test for detecting the physics misconceptions in force and law of motion for the 10th grade students and detecting physics misconceptions. The results showed the test was met the requirements of content validity(IOC=1.00) and construct validity between .91- .99. The item difficulty were ranged from .20-.80. The Brennan discrimination index was ranged from .21-.79. The reliable of the test was investigated by Livingston Method ranged from .88-.93. The cutting scores calculated by Angoffs Method 13 points of 20 points. The topic which students misconception the most were the meaning of force and the highest scientific knowledge of students were the analysis of force formation and weight of objects
