Abstract
The purposes of this study were to determine 1) the good governance administration under Samutsakhon Primary Education Service Area Office, 2) the school effectiveness under Samutsakhon Primary Education Service Area Office, and 3) the relationship between the good governance administration and the school effectiveness under Samutsakhon Primary Education Service Area Office. The sample was 86 schools under Samutsakhon Primary Education Service Area Office. The respondents in each school were ; an administrator or acting for administrator and teacher, totally 172 respondents. The research instrument was a questionnaire based on the good governance administration according to Office of the Public Sector Development Commission and the school effectiveness according to Hoy and Miskel’s concept. The statistical analysis were frequency, percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and Pearson’s product – moment correlation coefficient.
The results of this research were as follows :
- The good governance administration under Samutsakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office, as a whole, was at a high level, There were 2 highest level which ranking from high to low arithmetic mean as follows; morality and ethics, equity. There were 8 high level which ranking from high to low arithmetic mean as follows; transprancy, decentralization, rule of law, participation and consensus oriented, effectiveness, efficiency, accountability, and responsiveness.
- The school effectiveness under Samutsakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office, as a whole and each aspect were at a high level, which ranking from high to low arithmetic mean as follows; dropout rate, overall quality, absenteeism, job satisfaction, achievement.
- There were significance relationship between the good governance administration and the school effectiveness under Samutsakhon Primary Educational Service Area Office as a whole and each aspect at .01 level of significance.
