Abstract

ABSTRACT


The purpose of this research was to develop a blended learning model based on cooperative learning using resource-based learning to develop media literacy skills of Education Program Students of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University. The sample of the research was 27 students of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University selected by purposive sampling method. The research instruments were: 1) a questionnaire about students’ opinion on blended learning, cooperative learning, and resource-based learning; 2) a blended learning model based on cooperative learning using resource-based learning to develop media literacy skills; 3) a media literacy skills test; and 4) a questionnaire about experts’ opinion on component and procedure of the model. The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation and t-test.


          The findings of this research were as follows:


  1. The blended learning model based on cooperative learning using resource-based learning comprises nine aspects. They were: 1) goal of learning, 2) method of learning,
    3) learning content, 4) role of learners, 5) role of the teacher, 6) interactive method on the website, 7) computer technology and network systems, 8) learning support factors on the website, and 9) learning evaluation. The learning procedure consisted of 3 steps: 1) orientation, 2) activity conducting on the website and in the classroom, and 3) evaluation. The learning activities followed 6 steps. They were 1) selecting issue, 2) planning to search, 3) searching and evaluating information, 4) presenting within the group, 5) preparing to present the work, and 6) assessing the performance.

  2. The students’ average posttest score for media literacy skills was higher than pretest score at .05 level of significance. The result of evaluation by the experts showed that the blended learning model was appropriate at the highest level.
