Abstract

This research aims to: (1) to examine the potential of spatial identity that can be developed into local products for tourism, (2) to explore the participation of the Noenkham community in tourism product management, and (3) to propose guidelines for developing community products from local wisdom to enhance Noenkham community tourism. The study employs a qualitative research approach, using in-depth interviews with stakeholders involved in tourism product development in the Noenkham community, with groups consisting of 7-12 people. The findings reveal that (1) the Noenkham community has a unique identity and conserves its local wisdom and culture through community products, such as textile weaving, herbal products, cultural activities, and local cuisine, and (2) while the community engages in product development, there is a lack of integration of local products into sustainable tourism development. The proposed guidelines for enhancing community products in tourism include: (1) Product Development – the Noenkham community should promote product innovation, (2) Marketing Development – creating an online marketing network and enhancing product promotion, (3) Destination Development – improving community facilities and tourism services, and (4) Community Engagement – promoting learning and capacity building for community members.
