        วิจัยเรื่อง การศึกษาและวิจัย เสียงที่ดีของเครื่องดนตรีประเภทฮอร์น สำหรับยุคปัจจุบัน เกิดขึ้นเนื่องจากประสบการณ์การสอน และการแสดงของผู้วิจัยเอง ซึ่งที่ผ่านมาพบปัญหาหลายๆอย่างที่เกิดขึ้นกับนักเรียน สิ่งที่จำเป็นมากอย่างหนึ่งในการเล่นฮอร์นคือ การสร้างเสียงออกมาให้ได้ดี ผู้วิจัยจึงตั้งใจอยากจะให้มีการศึกษาถึงเรื่องของเสียงฮอร์นที่ดีเพื่อที่จะหาข้อมูลที่มีความเป็นกลางและเชื่อถือได้ สำหรับนำไปใช้ในการสอนและการฝึกฮอร์นต่อไป

        ฮอร์นได้ถูกขนานนามว่าเป็นเครื่องดนตรีที่มีความยากในการเล่นมากที่สุดเครื่องหนึ่งซึ่งยากไม่แพ้ความยากของเครื่องสายเลย และเอกลักษณ์ที่สำคัญของฮอร์นก็คือเรื่องของเสียง ฮอร์นให้เสียงที่ไพเราะ นุ่มนวล กังวาน อบอุ่น และยิ่งใหญ่ ซึ่งผู้เล่นต้องมีความสามารถที่จะสร้างเสียงในลักษณะต่างๆได้เป็นอย่างดี แต่ด้วยปัจจัยของเครื่องที่มีเม้าท์สพีสที่เล็กมาก ท่อของเครื่องที่ยาวมาก ประมาณ 4-6 เมตร และปลายลำโพงที่ใหญ่มาก ซึ่งเป็นธรรมชาติของเครื่องดนตรีชนิดนี้  ผู้เล่นที่ไม่ตระหนักถึงธรรมชาติของเครื่องจะไม่ใช้ความสามารถอย่างเต็มที่ในการฝึกซ้อม และเป็นอุปสรรคที่ทำให้ผู้เล่นส่วนใหญ่ไม่สามารถสร้างเสียงที่ดีได้ และไม่สามารถพัฒนาเทคนิคการเล่นต่างๆให้ได้ดีผลสรุปที่ได้จากงานวิจัยในเรื่องของเสียงฮอร์นที่ดีคือเสียงของฮอร์นที่ดีควรที่จะต้องมีคุณสมบัติดังต่อไปนี้เป็นเสียงที่มีความกลม นิ่ง มีมิติ มีความลึก ไม่สั่นมีแกนเสียง มีโอเวอร์โทน (overtone) มีโฟกัส (focus) (เสียงไม่บาน  และไม่แบะ) มีความกังวาน ชัด มีมวล ฟังแล้วไพเราะ รู้สึกสบาย ไม่อึดอัด ได้ยินในที่ไกลๆ ฟังแล้วต้องรู้สึกว่าเป็นเสียงฮอร์น ไม่เหมือนเสียงทรัมเปต และมีคุณภาพ

Abstract

            The research “Study and research of good horn sound for present day” was motivated by the researcher’s teaching and performing horn experiences on how to make a good horn sound, which is always one of the main concerns of horn playing. Consequently, the researcher was determined to study about how to make a good horn sound and get a good and reliable result to share to horn teachers and students in town for effective use.

          Horn has been named the orchestra’s most difficult instrument. One of its unique characteristics is its sound, which is known for its beauty, delicateness, warmth, resonance and grandeur. A horn player must be able to produce many tone colors from his instrument. But due to the nature of this instrument that comes with a very small mouthpiece, a very long tube, approximately 4-6 meters, with a large bell attached at the end; some players may overlook at these disadvantages and practice ineffectively. Thus, become an obstacle in developing techniques and tone quality.After a long survey, all the information was collected, analyzed and summarized into a complete research. The answer to the subject of this research can be described as: round, constant, dimensional, deep, stable, focused, with overtone, resonant, clear, rich, relax, beautiful, projective, horn-like sound, not like trumpet and with good quality.
