บทคัดย่อ

งานวิจัยนี้มุ่งศึกษาอุปลักษณ์ที่ใช้ในการรายงานข่าวการชุมนุมทางการเมืองในหนังสือพิมพ์ไทยเพื่อวิเคราะห์ มโนทัศน์หรือมุมมองเกี่ยวกับการชุมนุมทางการเมือง ของนักหนังสือพิมพ์ตามแนวคิดอรรถศาสตร์ปริชาน ของเลคอฟและจอนห์สัน [11]ข้อมูลที่ใช้ในการวิเคราะห์รวบรวมจากหนังสือพิมพ์รายวัน 3 ชื่อฉบับ ได้แก่ ไทยรัฐ สยามรัฐ และมติชน ระหว่างเดือนมกราคม 2552 ถึงเดือนพฤษภาคม 2553 ผลการวิจัยทราบว่าในการรายงานข่าวมีการใช้ถ้อยคำอุปลักษณ์ เปรียบเทียบผู้ชุมนุมและเจ้าหน้าที่รัฐเป็นคู่ต่อสู้และเปรียบการชุมนุมทางการเมืองเป็นการทำสงคราม ถ้อยคำอุปลักษณ์สะท้อนมโนทัศน์หรือมุมมองของนักหนังสือพิมพ์ต่อการชุมนุมว่า “การชุมนุมคือการทำสงคราม” การใช้อุปลักษณ์ในการรายงาน ข่าวการชุมนุมทางการเมืองในหนังสือพิมพ์ไทยทำให้เห็นความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างกลวิธีทางภาษาและมโนทัศน์หรือมุมมองที่เกี่ยวกับการทำสงคราม

Abstract

This study intended to investigate the metaphors used to report political demonstrations in Thai newspapers, and to analyze the concepts or notions of political demonstrations for journalists by looking at the metaphors that they used. The study was based on the Cognitive Semantics Theory of Lakoff and Johnson (1980). The data was collected from three daily newspapers including Thairat, Siamrat, and Matichon from January, 2009 to May, 2010. The results showed that the word “opponent” was used as a metaphor for the political demonstrators and government officials, and “war” was used as a metaphor for the political demonstration. Therefore, the metaphor “Political Demonstration is War” was a reflection on the concept or notions of journalists towards the demonstration. The metaphors used for political demonstrations as reported in Thai newspapers shows the relationshiop of language and the concepts or notions of political of war.
