         การศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้เป็นการศึกษาวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์ของการวิจัย 3 ประการ คือ 1. เพื่อศึกษาผลสะท้อนของบริบทสังคม การเมือง และวัฒนธรรมที่เกิดจากเหตุการณ์การเมืองในประเทศที่ปรากฎอยู่ในผลงานจิตรกรรม 2.เพื่อศึกษาเหตุผลที่ศิลปินเลือกเนื้อหาสาระเกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์การเมืองในประเทศไทย มาสร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานจิตรกรรม และ 3.เพื่อศึกษาเทคนิควิธีการ และกระบวนการสร้างสรรค์ของศิลปินที่นำมาใช้สร้างสรรค์งานจิตรกรรมเพื่อแสดงเนื้อหาสาระเกี่ยวกับการเมืองในประเทศไทย ผลของการศึกษาวิจัยภาพผลงานจิตรกรรมที่แสดงเนื้อหาสาระเกี่ยวกับเหตุการณ์การเมืองในประเทศไทยครั้งนี้พบว่า 1. เนื้อหาสาระในภาพผลงานจิตรกรรมได้สะท้อนภาพพฤติกรรมการปฏิบัติตนของนักการเมืองไทย ซึ่งได้กลายเป็นสังคมและวัฒนธรรมหนึ่งของประเทศที่กำลังแทรกซึม กัดกร่อน และกลืนกินสังคมวัฒนธรรมเดิมที่ยึดถือแนวทางการประพฤติปฏิบัติตนตามหลักศาสนา โดยวิธีการแบ่งแยกประชาชนเป็นฝักฝ่าย แบ่งแยกประเทศออกเป็นส่วน ๆ เพื่อสร้างฐานอำนาจในการแย่งชิงขึ้นเป็นผู้นำทางการเมืองในการบริหาร และปกครองประเทศ การกระทำดังกล่าวนี้นับเป็นการนำพาประเทศไปสู่ความขัดแย้งความแตกแยกในสังคมและวัฒนธรรมไทยอย่างเด่นชัดและยังชี้ให้เห็นว่าสังคมและวัฒนธรรมของนักการเมืองเป็นรูปแบบของสังคม และวัฒนธรรมใหม่ที่กำลังทำลายทำร้าย สังคมและวัฒนธรรมอันดีงาม และความมั่นคงของประเทศ 2. ศิลปิน ผู้สร้างสรรค์ผลงาน ซึ่งเป็นผู้ร่วมสมัยกับเหตุการณ์ทางการเมือง ได้นำประสบการณ์มาถ่ายทอดเนื้อหา

Abstract

       The objectives of this research are threefold. Firstly, it is intended to study the reflection of political situations in social, political, and culturalcontexts in paintings. Secondly, this research investigates the rationale behind in reflecting political situation in Thailand through artists’ creation of paintings.Thirdly, techniques and processes in creating paintings which reflect Thailand’s political situations are examined. Findings of the research in Thailand’s politics in paintings show that: 1) the contents in the paintings reflected behaviors of Thailand’s politicians which have gradually turned out to be the culture of the society. The society which used to respect religions’ lessons as their ways of behaving has been changing into transformation crisis. Thailand’s political turmoil has divided the country. The consequence has hindered peaceful and reconcile situation in Thai society and the culture. 2) The artists who have lived with these political situations shared their experiences through their creating of paintings in order to record the situations in the history, tell stories, and warn the citizens about the results of political conflicts which have been destroying the society, its culture and security of the country. 3) The artists expressed their opinions through the contents of their paintings, and their feelings about effects of political conflicts towards Thailand’s society and culture by using metaphor and caricatures of situations, people and their personalities. The artists also applied symbolism of the situations through the uses of materials, oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor painting and black ink on paper.
