THE TRANMISSION OF NARAPHONG CHARASSRI’S CREATIVE CONCEPTS OF SITE- SPECIFIC DANCE PERFORMANCE

บทคัดย่อ

This dissertation aims at investigesting tranmission of concepts in site-specific dance performance creativity and has scope of study in Thai Creative dance works by Professor Naraphong Charassri Ph.D. This study deploys qualitative methodology and analyzes data by literary review and field study. This study has found that areas used in the creativity are of several levels and may be defined in two types i.e. spece and site. The study has also found that artists in various branches of art tend to create their works based on sites or specific areas, among the works created in paintings, sculptures, literary works arts, musical arts, and performing arts found the masterpieces. His extensive experiences in working with eminent artists when residing abroad in the United Kingdom as performer and co-creator make Professor Naraphong Chasassri efficient in art creativity and the experimentation, the main activities in the West in that period.

Site-specific Thai dance performances by Professor Naraphong Charassri Ph.D. are of two groups; the works concerning Thai culteral heritage, and the works concerning contemporary culture.

The tranmission are done through two channels, the tranmission through art appreciation in the audiences with combination of literary application, dance gestures, costumes, sound and music, light, and performers. Another type of tranmission in done in academic arena since the knowledge of such creativity has delivered to fellows in doctoral program in creativity at Chulalongkorn University.
