A Duality of Home Memory: A Creation of House-Body

aningful complexity during the demolition of residences, and the space of memories, by connecting changes and losses from personal events of the artist to social events, 2. study the occurrence of home demolition phenomena in the context of Thai society through the architectural model of the Thai vernacular house, and 3. study the effects that have come from the demolition of dwellings and the creation of personal memories and shared social memories. In this study, works were created through theories about the vernacular houses in Thai society, memories and Gentrification phenomena including the study of the artworks of four artists.
Methods of study and implementation use of two areas for field studies together with the operation of studio procedures. The artist divided the sculptures into three phases.
On the third phase, the results of the ten pieces of sculpture namely the house-body series, has found the method of using materials and the process of creating works that reflect the meaning of the house. Dual memory and loss, the study found that the gentrification phenomenon created an impact on the vernacular houses, and was associated with the emergence of personal memories and shared memories of homes and residences.
