Abstract

Nowadays, the fashion market is extremely competitive, especially in the field of fast fashion. This event leads to the mass production with fast delivering deadline, which mainly try to satisfy the needs of the consumers. The fast fashion market creates fashionable products at low prices, resulting in shorter product life cycles. Consumers then tend to abandon the product sooner. This situation directly impacts the environment and sparks the sustainable fashion movement - those who are more concerned with product life cycles, such as materials, production, and logistics. The research found that (1) the entrepreneur generation Y consumers are interested in business casual products with the sustainable fashion concept. (2) The design concept that suits the target consumer is the mid-century furniture design concept. (3) the collection design prototyped is developed which consists of 5 outfits.
