The Secret of Success Communication of Pintu Gerbang Malayu from Southern Border Provinces

The process that leads to success is often more valuable than success itself. The purpose of this research was to communicate the secret of success of Pintu Gerbang Melayu from southern border provinces. The type of research is research and development framework, this qualitative study which uses the focus group and media development practice to gather data from relevant stakeholders. Participants included the president and committee members of the award-winning Pintu Gerbang Melayu projects in Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat provinces, as well as experts in Islamic communication, Islamic history, and Islamic architecture or arts. Data were analyzed using content analysis, synthesis, comparative methods, and rational-descriptive writing. The findings revealed that the communication process aligns with the SMCR communication model. The components are as follows: 1) Source – the research team from Yala Rajabhat University. 2) Message – the secret of success of the award-winning Pintu Gerbang Melayu projects in Yala, Pattani, and Narathiwat provinces, categorized into three dimensions: Malay-Muslim identity, creativity, and management. 3) Channel – digital media platforms by video clips and e-books. 4) Receiver – the target groups included Muslims interested in developing Pintu Gerbang Melayu, non-Muslim individuals curious about cultural heritage in the southern border provinces, and other groups such as government officials, educators, and media personnel learn or promote Pintu Gerbang Melayu from southern border provinces.
