Abstract

Creation of Environmentally Friendly Products from Rice Straw Using BCG presents the results of a study on developing products from rice bran using the BCG process to create environmentally friendly products. The work is based on applied research, which includes qualitative processes such as in-depth interviews, statistical data from questionnaires, and the evaluation of product development by experts.

The results found that developing products from rice bran using the BCG process can be applied to various product forms, including landmarks, pots, sandalwood flower, containers, and packaging. This depends on the use of different materials and production techniques. The resulting products are highly environmentally friendly because the main components are made from materials that can biodegrade. The evaluation of creative product development found that the possibility of self-production in the area had an average satisfaction rating of 4.78, which is the highest level of satisfaction. The next highest rating was for the selection of locally sourced natural materials, with an average rating of 4.59. The suitability of utilizing products from rice bran had an average rating of 4.52. The average rating for the design of the products and packaging was 4.47, and the increase in value creation and sales opportunities for the developed products had an average rating of 4.38, respectively. The evaluation of consumer satisfaction found that it was at the highest level of satisfaction ( = 4.54), with a standard deviation of 0.47. Additionally, the researchers conducted practical training to transfer the environmentally friendly product development technology from rice bran to communities, leading to future income generation.
