The objective of this research is to design a user interface (UI) for an application that is easy and suitable for users with anxiety, and to assess user satisfaction with the UI of the application for individuals with anxiety in the Gen Y group.
In this research, the user interface (UI) design for an application targeting individuals with anxiety was conducted using documentary research methodology. Data was gathered from internet sources, books, documents, theories, and related research on anxiety and design affecting emotions. The gathered data was then used to design the UI for the application intended for individuals with anxiety. The data providers were divided into two groups. Group 1 consisted of three design experts who were interviewed to collect preliminary information on design factors influencing user emotions and ease of use, which would be used for the improvement and development of the UI design. Group 2 consisted of 100 individuals from the target audience, specifically individuals with anxiety in the Gen Y group. The research findings indicated that the target group exhibited anxiety-related behaviors ( = 3.54, S.D. = 0.46), with the highest levels of discomfort, sadness, and genuine distress ( = 4.54, S.D. = 0.46). These findings guided the design of the main interface to provide encouragement to users, particularly targeting their emotions. As a result, user satisfaction with the application usage was at a level of ( = 4.47, S.D. = 0.57), and satisfaction with the application design was ( = 4.58, S.D. = 0.48).
Thus, User interface design for applications to stressed person It has features that truly meet the needs of stressed people.
