A Decorative Product Design from Wood Waste for The Botanical Garden Udonthani Rajabhat University Education Center Sam Phrao

A research of a decorative product design from wood fragment for the botanical garden Udon Thani Rajabhat University Samprow Center aims to 1) to study the guideline bringing the wood fragment for the decorative product design in the garden 2) to design the decoration product from the wood fragment for a botanical garden Udon Thani Rajabhat University Sam Prow Center and 3) to evaluate the opinion of users toward the decorative product design from the wood fragment for a botanical garden Udon Thani Rajabhat University Sam Prow Center.
The data informants from 3 experts in different fields, namely; the expert in a botanical garden Udon Thani Rajabhat University Sam Prow Center, the expert in product design in the local art and culture, the expert in wood carving and Thai art and the students, and the officers, and the visitors, which visit at the botanical garden Udon Thani Rajabhat University Sam Prow Center, 104 people in total, the research tool for data collect were the interviewing and the satisfaction evaluation.
The results found 1) the decoration product design from the wood fragment should be the hardwood due to the product was set at the outdoor so the hardwood had been strong, weatherproof, owning to Padauk Wood Red Wood as a beautiful color thus they should be suitable for carving with attractively 2) a design of the garden decoration product which the equal part of sculpture style by using a carving technique apply to the attractive pattern carving by applying a design with the contemporary style inspired by King of Nagas that convey to the belief, the protection the respect of Isan people and 3) the satisfaction evaluation towards the product that found the satisfaction of the garden decoration product design as an equal part of the sculpture with contemporary style was at the highest level (mean= 4.50, S.D. = 0.65) in terms of the usefulness of the sculpture and carving of the King of Nagas was at a high level (mean=4.23, S.D. = 0.68) and in terms of the beauty was at a high level (mean=4.43, S.D. = 0.63).
