Abstract

The Mascot Design for Product Labels and Packaging Development for the Agricultural Safety Network in Tak Province (Lan Thung Curry Paste) aims to 1) develop packaging for chili paste and chili grinding machine and 2) assess the satisfaction of the Agricultural Safety Network of Tak province and consumer groups toward chili paste packaging and chili paste grinding machine. According to the research, it was found that the community groups had a need to develop an 80g bottle of chili paste packaging to have a larger bottle size and easier to scoop the curry paste for cooking. Design labels and group symbols (mascot characters) to be remembered by using the material is waterproof sticker paper for easy storage in the refrigerator and the label does not deteriorate when exposed to water or moisture with complete packaging components. Developed a grinding machine for raw materials that suitable for use, hygienic, suitable motor power, easy to maintain and clean. The researchers conducted a participatory design with the community to solve problems for the community groups which has the satisfaction of the Agricultural Safety Network Group in Tak province towards the newly developed chili grinder was satisfied at a high level (4.48), with standard deviation at 0.65. Besides the results of the consumer satisfaction assessment 100 people were satisfied with the redesigned Lan Thung curry paste package (4.12) with standard deviation at 0.58.
