Abstract

This Research aims to find ways to to present information and publicize the Yaowarat community
by focusing on print media. Yaowarat is a community of Chinese residents that settled in Thailand
and lived until now and it is considered the largest Chinese-Thai habitation in Thailand. Besides,
its importance of trade, Yaowarat is also considered as tourist attraction that is known to both Thais
and foreigners. It is so call Chinatown of Thailand. This research is a mixed research. Conducting
research by collecting data with questionnaires from 100 tourists who are new generation, aged
between 21-35 years old and interviewing 5 graphic designers.
The research’s results from collecting tourists' opinions are as follows: 1) The visual identity
of Yaowarat is Chinese characters. 2) The distinctive point of Y aowarat is Street Food.
3) The color red represents Y aowarat most 3) Digital Illustration can attract most tourists.
The results of the research on design elements and design principles revealed that 1) The suitable color
scheme for design is warm colors in red tones. 2) The appropriate layout for grids is the Manuscript Grid.
3) The letter for the title is San-serif font. 4) The letter for the body is Serif font
