Participation of Community Committees in Local Wisdom Administration of Nakhonluang Sub-district Municipality, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya Province

Abstract

The purposes of this study are: 1) to study participation of community committees in local wisdom administration of Nakhonluang sub-district Municipality, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province; and 2) to compare levels of participation among the community committees in local wisdom administration of Nakhonluang sub-district Municipality, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya province, as classifies by personal factors. The subject are 180 community committees of Nakhonluang sub-district Municipality, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya. The instrument used is a five-point-scale questionnaire with the reliability at 0.75, the statistical tools for data analysis are frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test with 0.5 statistically significant level specified.

The results indicate that : 1) the participation of community committees in local wisdom administration of Nakhonluang sub-district Municipality, Phranakhon Si Ayutthaya, as a whole, is a hight level, ranking from highest to lowest as follows : participation in practicing, critical thinking, monitoring or assessment, decision making and planning ; and 2) differences of education background, occupation and monthly income of community committees significantly affect local wisdom of administration difference statistically significant.
