Educational Leadership Concept
Main Article Content
Abstract
This academic article aims to examine and analyze educational leadership through the context of foundational educational concepts, specifically focusing on its definition, significance, core components, characteristics, and critical roles. The findings indicate that educational leaders must adapt their mindsets and attitudes to keep pace with ongoing changes, while fostering faith, motivation, and credibility to garner acceptance and voluntary cooperation from subordinates and external organizations. Furthermore, educational leaders are required to continuously enhance their skills, knowledge, capabilities, and leadership qualities. Additionally, the study reveals five key factors contributing to the development of educational leadership: lifelong learning, strategic thinking, the sharing of expertise and experience, the utilization of new technologies and innovations, and responsiveness to traditional wisdom. These factors are supported by four guiding principles: a passion for learning, the mastery of the four foundational skills, open-mindedness, and the broadening of one's worldview. Consequently, educational leaders must possess both the science and art of educational administration. Possessing such leadership—particularly educational leadership—will ultimately enhance the success of quality education management and drive educational organizations forward toward achieving their shared goals.
