A STUDY OF BEHAVIOR AND DECISION MAKING OF RESERVE OFFICER TRAINING CORPS STUDENTS OF RAMKHAMHAENG UNIVERSITY

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the behavior and decision making of Reserve Officer Training Corps Students of Ramkhamhaeng University. The population of Reserve Officer Training Corps Students of Ramkhamhaeng University, Bangkok was 400. The statistics were used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent sampling, t-test, one-way ANOVA and Pearson correlation coefficient.
The results showed that most of the government officers and staffs of Reserve Officer Training Corps Students of Ramkhamhaeng University were males between 18-19 years old, were fourth year students and lived in the central region of Thailand. Most attended public events by deciding to join the event on their own. They joined the activity to spend their free time by participating in group activities. They attended fewer than 2 events per month and would like to have activities at sea, that were easy to travel to, facilities being ready, involving telephone or electric signals, knowledge, understanding and responsibility of the organizers, management of the organizers, and the knowledge that was gained from participating in the activities be able to be adapted to real life. They also wanted the knowledge of the organizer to be conveyed to them, the organizers’ emotions to be controlled, time-management activities, strict adherence to rules, accountability for mistakes, open mindedness, money, gifts, thank you cards, food stamps and points. There was a very high correlation coefficient corresponding to the main hypothesis.
