Strategies of Budget Management in Police Organization: Enhancing Efficiency, Transparency, and Public Confidence

Abstract

This academic article focuses on strategic budget management in police organizations for enhanced efficiency. Given the dynamic social conditions in Thailand, it is essential to plan for rapid, accurate, and fair problem-solving to ensure agile and effective administration that maximizes benefits. Therefore, it is crucial to adopt budget management strategies that prioritize efficiency and outcomes. These strategies include setting strategic goals, defining clear objectives, establishing performance indicators and key performance indicators (KPIs), optimizing existing resources, conducting continuous evaluations and adjustments, and ensuring stakeholder participation and organizational transparency. Additionally, factors influencing budget management efficiency must be considered, such as the annual budget expenditure framework, personnel involved in budget operations, operational systems, organizational leadership, and organizational culture. In accordance with its mission, with preparedness to prevent and suppress crime and to reduce recidivism through the criminal justice process. The ultimate goal is to align with the organization's vision of becoming a law enforcement agency trusted and respected by the public.
