Abstract

Online shopping fraud is a crime that is statistically increasing within Thai society due to the shift in individuals' behavior from traditional shopping to online shopping. Scammers utilize deceptive tactics on the Internet and social media to ensnare victims in online trade without credible government agency verification. This article aims to study, analyze, design, and promoting the development of an efficient prototype system for the Royal Thai Police aimed at preventing online fraud, and strengthening trust in online shopping through the implementation of a central registration system. The aforementioned system consists of the registration part of online stores via Google Forms, the storage of important data of online stores in a central registration system using Google Sheets, and the utilization of a LINE Bot system for searching and displaying information of certified online stores on the LINE application. The evaluation result from experts indicates that the prototype system can be effectively applied in real-world situations and significantly contribute to preventing fraud and building trust in online shopping transactions.
