Knowledge Transferring of the Model Development of an Appropriate Child and Adolescent Interview Room in Thailand

Abstract

The objectives of this research are 1) to study and create a manual on the development of an appropriate juvenile interrogation room model in Thailand 2) to transfer knowledge about juvenile interrogation rooms to Justice agencies involved in investigating children and youth 3) to evaluate the use of knowledge to develop a child and youth investigation room. This research is a type of knowledge management research. The tools include Documentary Research, In-depth interview, Focus Group Discussion, Test, Questionnaire and Observation. The target group includes police cadets or training students. Police officers under the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Police. The research areas include the Nakhon Pathom police stations, Sam Phran, Pho Kaeo, Sam Kwai Phuek, Nakhon Chai Si, Phutthamonthon, Pong Maduea, Kamphaeng Saen, Kratip, Don Tum, Bang Len, Bang Luang and the Nakhon Pathom Provincial Attorney's Office. The results of the research found as follows. 1) The operating manual resulted in students having significantly higher academic achievement after studying than before studying (p-value .01). 2) After training and policy support, It was found that there were 9 Provincial Police Stations out of 12 agencies that passed the standards at a good level.
