Abstract

บันทึกชาวไทใหญ่ในดินแดนลาว แปลจากเอกสารเรื่อง “ประวัติความเป็นมาบ้านห้วยทราย เมืองบ่อแก้ว สปป.ลาว” โดย สุริยง ส.ห่าน และโบ ห่าน ได้เรียบเรียงจากบันทึกของชาวไทใหญ่ที่เข้ามาอาศัยในบ้านห้วยทรายในปี พ.ศ. 2427 เพื่อทำการขุดแก้วหรือรัตนชาติในบ้านห้วยทราย ตามบันทึกได้กล่าวถึงการตั้งถิ่นฐาน การประกอบอาชีพ และประเพณีชาวไทใหญ่ พร้อมทั้งบันทึกเหตุการณ์ความเปลี่ยนแปลงทางประวัติศาสตร์ในช่วงการเข้ามาของอาณานิคมฝรั่งเศสในบริเวณลาวเหนือ เป็นการสะท้อนให้เห็นถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงจากทางสังคมยุคจารีตสู่ยุคอาณานิคม ผ่านเอกสารท้องถิ่นของคนไทลุ่มน้ำโขงThe Notes on Tai-Yai in Laos Territory.

       The Tai-Yai records in Laos was translated from the document titled “History of Bann Huai Xai, Muang Bokaew, Laos” written by Suriyong S. Han and Bo Han.

       The writers arranged the records of Tai-Yai who came to live in Bann Huay Xai in 1984 to mine gems in that area. These records contained information regarding the settlement, occupations and traditions of the Tai-Yai. These documents also recorded the changes in Tai-Yai culture and social traditions due to the French colonization of Northern Laos.
