Creating a documentary film for building a body of knowledge on developing awareness in conserving natural resources at Khao Sab Kaeng Kai Forest, Lam Sonthi District, Lop Buri Province

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to: 1) collect bodies of knowledge on creating documentary films in order to develop awareness in conserving natural resources at Khao Sab Kaeng Kai Forest, Lam Sonthi District, Lop Buri Province; and 2) present 10 episodes depicting events and facts on Khao Sap Kaeng Kai Forest – an attempt to pass on knowledge in the form of edutainment using songs and sounds to capture viewers’ attention. Each shot and scene flows smoothly by using film-making techniques. The film was rated at a very high level by youths and experts. The researcher’s observance of the focus group while watching the film revealed that this edutainment multimedia was able to capture the attention of the focus group, and was able to develop their understanding in the study of natural diversity and local resources. They also learned to love and treasure the Khao Sap Kaeng Kai Forest. Hopefully, there will be sustainable conservation of the forest.
