Administrative Efficiency of Educational Institution Administrators Private Religious Schools in the Youth Development Network Songkhla Province

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the level of administrators based on teachers’ opinions  2) compare the administrative efficiency of administrators based on teachers’ opinions classified by gender and age, and 3) compile recommendations for developing the administrative efficiency of private religious school administrators in the youth development network under the Office of the Private Education Songkhla Province. This research used the quantitive research methodology by the sample consisted of 210 private religious school teachers in the youth development network under the Office of the Private Education Songkhla Province. The sample size was determined using the Krejcie & Morgan table. The instruments used a questionnaire and reliability was determined using Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which was found to be .970. The statistics used for data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, independent   t-test, and ANOVA (F-test).

The research findings revealed that: 1) the overall and specific aspects of administrative efficiency of administrators were at a high level (= 4.04 , SD = .46) when considering each aspect, it is found that in terms of budget management was the highest average (= 4.10 , SD = .61) in academic management was followed by average (= 4.04 , SD = .46) and in human resource management was the lowest average (= 4.01 , SD = .48); 2) private religious teachers in the youth development network under the Office of the Private Education Songkhla Province, who have different genders, had different opinions regarding the administrative efficiency of school administrators, with statistical significance at the .05 level. However, teachers of different ages did not have differing opinions on the administrative efficiency of school administrators; and 3) the recommendations for enhancing the administrative efficiency of administrators included: administrators should promote the development of learning and teaching, and continuously monitor and reflect on the results of teaching supervision of teachers, establish an operational plan and manage it systematically with an action plan focused on the project’s objectives, control the efficient use of the budget, promote transparency and compliance with regulation, and place importance on the safety of buildings, facilities, and all personnel.
