Abstract
The objectives of this research were to study and compare the bachelor’s degree curriculums management and to study the guidelines for improving the bachelor’s degree curriculums management according to Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF: HEd) B.E. 2552 of Suratthani Rajabhat University. The sample included 185 instructors selected by purposive sampling and stratified random sampling based on faculties. Data were collected by using a questionnaire which yielded reliability coefficient of 0.91 and a focus group discussion with three instructor chairperson representatives selected by purposive sampling from each faculty. Quantitative data obtained were analyzed by mean, and standard deviation, and t-test. Qualitative data obtained were analyzed by content analysis.
The research results showed that the overall bachelor’s degree curriculums management based on Thai Qualifications Framework for Higher Education (TQF: HEd) B.E. 2552 of Suratthani Rajabhat University was at a high level; curriculum, learning and teaching, and learner evaluation were at a very high level followed by instructor and curriculum standard supervision, respectively; whereas, learning support was the lowest. The comparison of the bachelor’s degree curriculums management classified by curriculums was identical; however, the management regarding learning support was different at a statistical significance level of .05. The suggestions toward guidelines for improving the bachelor’s degree curriculums management were as follows: thework system and mechanism should be methodically designed in written statement; administrators should systematically and consecutively supervise and monitor the management in individual class, curriculum, faculty, and university level; every building should be ready in terms of equipment, learning materials, textbooks, and audiovisual equipment; there should be an incentive system which builds up morale for instructors; and one more administrative staff should be added to each curriculum.
