A STUDY OF LIFE SKILLS ACCORDING TO THE BASIC EDUCATION CORE CURRICULUM B.E. 2551 (A.D.2008) OF THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS UNDER BURIRAM PROVINCE

Abstract

The objective of this survey research was investigate the level life skills of primary school students under Buriram Primary Education Service Area Office 1. Participants selected by stratified random sampling consisted of 1,053 primary school students in schools under Buriram Primary Education Service Area Office 1. The research instrument was a five-rating scale questionnaire consisting of 4 components with 58 questions. The discrimination of this research instrument ranged between 0.245 and 0.554 and the reliability was 0.974. Participants selected by stratified random sampling consisted of 1,053 primary school students in schools under Buriram Primary Education Service Area Office 1.  Data were analyzed by using mean () and standard deviation (SD) The research result revealed that life skills of primary school students under Buriram Primary Education Service Area Office 1. In overall and each component were at a middle level. In addition, the finding found that the highest level of life skill among primary school students was self-realization and self-esteem followed by emotional and stress management, and analytical thinking, Interpersonal relationship with other.
