The Study of the Factors Affecting to the Member’s Particpation in Business Operation of Phrao Agricultural Cooperative Limited Phrao Destrict Changmai Province

Abstract

The aims of this study were to find out the factors affecting to the members’ participation in Phrao Agricultural Cooperative Ltd., Phrao District Chiang Mai Province. The data collected from 362 samplings and analyzed by using frequency, percentage, mean, S.D., including stepwise multiple regression analysis.

The result found that most of the samplings were male, aged more than 51 years old income between 8,000-11,000 baht/month, and have been the member for more than 20 years.

The factors that influence to the members’ participation at a high level. Were ordered from high level to low level as. The appropriate location the steady, the loan source, the staff’s service mind the convenience in doing business, the sense of ownership, the committees’ reliability, and benefits (dividend, public relation, welfare e.g. medical expense).

The level of members’ participation in cooperative was high. Level when in each side had found that the participation in making decision and participation in cooperative was high level. The participation in controlling inspecting, and the participation in profit was in moderate level. The partitions in controlling and advantage coordinating had 3 factors related as the sense of ownership (x₄), the convenience in doing business (x₈) and the advantage (dividend, refund) (x₉) had 0.01 and 0.5 as level of statistical significance.
