Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the level of classroom management; 2) study the level of student quality; and 3) study the classroom management affecting student quality in schools under the Bueng Kan Primary Educational Service Area Office. The samples were 330 school administrators and teachers, obtained by stratified random sampling, and allocated proportional. The research instrument was a questionnaire on how classroom management affects student quality in schools under the Bueng Kan Primary Educational Service Area Office. Data were analyzed by program for mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The research results revealed that: 1) the level of classroom management was high, with the highest mean for providing a safe atmosphere and environment and supervision, following up, and developing teachers in the professional community, and the lowest mean was bringing change to quality classrooms; 2) the level of student quality in schools was high, with the highest mean was social skills, and the aspect with the lowest mean was learning process skills; and 3) five variables were found to affect the quality of learners: bringing change to a quality classroom, supervision, following up and development of teachers in the professional community, standards-based learning design, providing a safe atmosphere and environment, and building a network of cooperation. The multiple correlation coefficient was 0.768, and the total predictive coefficient was 58.90%, with statistical significance at the .05 level. A regression equation could be created in the form of a raw score, and the standardized scores, as follows:
The predictive equation in unstandardized score:
Y = 0.802 + 0.121(X3) + 0.218(X4) + 0.165(X1) + 0.170(X2) + 0.115(X5)
The predictive equation in standardized score:
ZY = 0.154(ZX3) + 0.213(ZX4) + 0.228(ZX1) + 0.162(ZX2) + 0.146(ZX5)
