Evaluation on the Management of Cooperative Education : A Case Study of Rangsit University

Abstract

Abstract
The research uses a mixed method: a quantitative and qualitative research. The purposes were
1) to study working quality of students who enrolled cooperative education project 2) to present the
direction in developing the cooperative education project of Higher Education, related to organization
demands. The evaluation form were collected from job supervisors while working both in public
and private organization. The samples were 200 students from 7 faculties in Rangsit University. The
quantitative method from Co-operative education students’s quality assessment forms, which were
analyzed by using percentage, mean, standard deviation for descriptive discussing and using t-test,
multiple regression for hypothesis test. The qualitative analysis used data from interviewing with 10
job supervisors who were trained in establishments participating in cooperative education student
in year 2015. to analyses and interpret key information important in 4 factors : knowledge & ability,
responsibilities, personality and work achievement by Theme and Sub-theme for study.
The overall finding in Qualitative method showed that to ensure more effective in all
aspects was from the participation should to create guidelines to implement joint projects from
the key organization is institution of education, enterprise and government support agencies.
The overall finding in Quantitative method, the hypothesis test revealed that gender had
significant different towards their 3 factors, which were knowledge & ability, responsibility and
personality. Organization did not has significant to all factors at significant level 0.05. and the overall
results of multiple regression showed that the correlation coefficient is 0.639, which can predict
work achievement of students in the cooperative education is 41 percent at the 0.05 significance
level. The results from individual analysis according of all 4 aspects showed that only knowledge
& ability and personality has related to work achievement at the 0.05 significant level.
