Abstract

Article on Khmer Ratchaburi: history, development, existence, identity, and assimilation into Thailand. The objective is to
study history and historical development. Use study methods from related documents and research. Written in the form of an
academic article. The results of the study confirm that The Khmer ethnic group has a historical development in coming to settle in
Ratchaburi together with other ethnic groups due to reasons of war and international politics But Khmer, with its unique ethnic
language and beliefs are not very different from Siam as a result, it eventually became Siam or Thailand. As appears as empirical
evidence in geography of the place where people lived and once settled, but many ways of life disappeared, including language,
dress, food, until it became a local Ratchaburi.
