Sustainability Management of the Listed Companies in the Stock Exchange of Thailand

Abstract

          This research article were aim to: 1) Study the sustainability management of companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and the MAI Stock Exchange 2) Analyze problems in management for sustainability. 3) Present a model of management for sustainability. This research was qualitative research in the form of structured in-depth interviews with 16 stakeholders. The content scope was a study of sustainability management according to the guidelines of the Sustainability Reporting Manual for Listed Companies, 2022, Stock Exchange of Thailand and analyzing data by qualitative method (Thematic Analysis)

        The results of the research found that 1) Sustainability management consists of The organization's chief executive leads the charge in overseeing sustainability management, Determining key issues and strategies for sustainability management, Implementing policies and strategies for sustainability management and Monitoring performance and disclosing information. 2) In the past, the company focused on generating short-term profits to satisfy shareholders. This causes problems and impacts on stakeholders in the dimensions of environment, society, and corporate governance. 3) The model of sustainability management of the listed companies consists of Good business performance results, Sustainable growth goals and Long-term survival of the organization. A suggestion for effective sustainability management is to set indicators to evaluate performance in a concrete way.
