People’s Participation in the Local Development of Sai Ma Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province

Abstract
This research aimed to 1) Study the levels of people’s participation in the local development of Sai Ma Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province 2) Compare the people’s participation in the local development of Sai Ma Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province, classified by personal factors. The sample used in this research included 393 residents aged over 18 years old in 6 villages according to the administrative district in Sai Ma Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province.The tool used in the research was questionnaire. The statistics used in the data analysis included Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffe’s method, and Multiple Regression Analysis: Enter. The research findings revealed that people’s participation in the local development of Sai Ma Subdistrict Municipality, Mueang Nonthaburi District, Nonthaburi Province, overall was at fair level. The consideration in each dimension revealed the following: on benefit, the mean of the levels of efficiency was at high level; on reception of information and news, planning, and operation, the mean of the levels of efficiency was at fair level; and on evaluation, the mean of the levels of efficiency was at low level. The study findings of the comparison of the levels of people’s participation in the local development of Sai Ma Subdistrict Municipality, classified by personal factors, revealed that gender, age, education, occupation, salary, and community had different opinions at the statistical significance of .05.
