Abstract

The academic article titled “Disaster Management Integration in Era 4.0” discusses issues on pre-, mid-, and post-disaster disaster management integration using technological facilitation in response to the Thailand-4.0 Policy. Theoretical concepts (e.g., Disaster Management New Public Service, Management, and Integration) were incorporated into the analysis. As these theoretical concepts were applied in disaster management, it was possible to adapt disaster-management operations based on disaster management concepts to address changing global trends where disasters are becoming increasingly extreme. Such global dynamics are considered influencing factors of management in many areas, including economies, societies, and natural disasters. Hence, for more optimal management, conventional practices within the current disaster management should be transformed to respond more effectively to changes. In managing disasters, the transformation should involve technology when developing and educating employees on disaster-management duties so that they are equipped with adequate knowledge and understanding to operate relevant technological solutions and equipment. Furthermore, technology should be applied to disaster-management operations so that operational steps could be decreased, work efficiency could be enhanced, and more importantly, public fatality and losses of properties could be partially prevented.
