บทคัดย่อ

                การวิจัยในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลการออกแบบรายวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ โดยใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการรับใช้สังคมสำหรับนักศึกษาครุศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงราย และเพื่อศึกษาคุณลักษณะด้านการมีจิตสาธารณะของนักศึกษาที่เรียนโดยใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการรับใช้สังคม กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี สาขาวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ ชั้นปีที่ 3 คณะครุศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยราชภัฏเชียงรายจำนวน 45 คน ที่ลงทะเบียนรายวิชา EU 3202 การนำเสนอผลงานด้วยภาษาอังกฤษ ในภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2556 เครื่องมือในการวิจัยประกอบด้วย แผนการเรียนรู้ที่ใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการรับใช้สังคม แบบสอบถามเกี่ยวกับการมีจิตสาธารณะของนักศึกษา แบบบันทึกการเรียนรู้ และแบบสัมภาษณ์กลุ่มย่อย รูปแบบการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการรับใช้สังคมในรายวิชา EU 3202 ที่พัฒนาขึ้น ใช้กิจกรรมแบบโครงการโดยให้มีกระบวนการจัดดำเนินกิจกรรม 2 รอบ ในรอบที่ 1 เป็นกิจกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมในการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาที่พบใกล้ตัวหรือปัญหาสังคมทั่วไป เป็นการเตรียมความพร้อมให้นักศึกษาเรียนรู้กระบวนการเรียนแบบโครงการ โดยคำแนะนำของผู้สอน ส่วนในรอบที่ 2 เป็นกิจกรรมการมีส่วนร่วมในการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาในชุมชนของตน ที่ให้นักศึกษาทำโครงการในชุมชน ซึ่งกระบวนการจัดกิจกรรมแต่ละรอบแบ่งออกเป็น 3 ระยะ ได้แก่ ก่อนการดำเนินโครงการ ระหว่างการดำเนินโครงการ และหลังการดำเนินโครงการ หลังจากการเรียนโดยใช้กิจกรรมการเรียนรู้ด้วยการรับใช้สังคม พบว่า ระดับของพฤติกรรมที่แสดงออกถึงคุณลักษณะด้านการมี จิตสาธารณะของนักศึกษาเพิ่มขึ้นทั้ง 5 ด้าน คือ ด้านการรับรู้และตระหนักถึงปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นในสังคม การแสดงออกถึงการรับผิดชอบต่อสาธารณะสมบัติและทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ การหลีกเลี่ยงการใช้หรือการก่อให้เกิดความเสียหายต่อส่วนรวม การเข้าร่วมทำกิจกรรมเพื่อสังคมที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อส่วนรวม และการแสดงออกถึงความพร้อมที่จะช่วยเหลือและมีส่วนร่วมในการแก้ไขปัญหาที่เกิดขึ้นของผู้อื่นและในสังคม นอกจากนั้นนักศึกษาได้เรียนรู้การทำโครงการ สามารถทำโครงการที่สอดคล้องกับการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาที่พบในชุมชนของตนได้เป็นอย่างดี และเกิดความภาคภูมิใจในการทำประโยชน์ให้กับผู้อื่นในสังคม

Abstract

                The purposes of this research were to study results of design of English course by using service learning activities and to study public-mindedness of students who learnt through the service learning activities. The sample group of this research consisted of 45 English major students in the Faculty of Education at Chiang Rai Rajabhat University who enrolled in EU 3202 Presentation in English course in the second semester of the academic year 2013. The research instruments were learning plans using service learning activities, a questionnaire on public- mindedness of students, learning logs and an interview form. The researcher-designed service learning model consisted of 2 rounds of activities. The first round was designed for students’ involvement on the prevention and elimination of social problems pervasively surrounded the students themselves. This round aimed to prepare students to learn about project-based learning processes under the advice of teacher and the second round was the involvement on the prevention and elimination of social problems in the students’ communities by doing project in the communities. The activities of each round were divided into three steps: 1) Pre-implementation, 2) During the project implementation, and 3) Post-implementation. It was found that through the activities of this course, the level of public-mindedness of students increased in all 5 characteristics i.e. the perceiving and awareness of social problems, the expression of the responsibility on the public and natural resources, the avoiding of causing public destruction, the involvement on the social activities which were of benefits for the public, and the expression on the readiness to help and participate in solving problems of others and the society. Moreover, the students learned to work on projects and were able to create relevant projects for prevention and elimination of social problems. Students also reported their pride from giving service to others in the society.
