Abstract
Abstract
This research aimed to investigate educational effectiveness level of private primary schools in Bangkok; identify factors influencing educational effectiveness of the schools; and develop a model of factors influencing educational effectiveness of the schools. This quantitative research used a questionnaire to collect the data from a sample of 697 teachers randomly selected from this type of 212 schools in the 2013 academic year. The descriptive data were analyzed using a computer package.
The results were as follows.
1. The educational effectiveness level of the schools was at a high level.
2. The factors affecting educational effectiveness level of the schools at the .05 level of statistical significance were ranked from the top influence value as leadership, school climate, and participatory administration. However, school climate factor did not have direct effect on the effectiveness.
3. The model of factors influencing educational effectiveness of the schools was consistent with the empirical data (χ2 = 137.27, df = 153, χ2/df = 0.90, GFI = 0.98, AGFI = 0.97, Standardized RMR = 0.034, RMSEA = 0.00). The model could 61 percent explain variance of the effectiveness.
