Abstract

Abstract

                This research aimed at assessing needs, creating and checking model for Administration Regional Distance Education Centers of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. The research combined both qualitative and quantitative studies. In-depth interview with 10 directors, questionnaires by 130 staff respondents of 10 Regional Distance Education Centers were used to gather data. The analysis descriptive information was used to create induction, where as quantitative data was employed descriptive statistics: means, standard diviation, and priority needs index modified (PNI modified)

                The results showed that the practicality of current state and desirable state of centers were different and needs index to develop a model of administration range between 0.0654 and 0.1575

                A model comprised of 4 elements which were: introduction, 5 essential components, 3 procedures of a model and 3 aspects of key success factors toward Administration of Regional Distance Education Centers.
