The Data Management of Standard Test and Assessment of the O-NET of the Grade 6 and Grade 9 Students of the Year 2010 and 2013 in Lopburi Singburi and Saraburi Primary Educational Service Area and Secondary Educational Service Area 5

Abstract

                This research aimed at studying  1) the results of grade 6 and grade 9 students’ O-NET assessment in Lopburi, Singburi and Saraburi primary educational service area and secondary educational service area 5 and  2) the data management of grade 6 and grade 9 students’ O-NET assessment in Lopburi, Singburi and Saraburi primary educational service area and secondary educational service area 5. Target samples obtained from 264 schools with stratified sampling by considered proportion. The method provide in 2 steps 1) Investigate score and evaluate O-NET assessment of grade 6 and grade 9 students  2) Survey opinion from administrators about method of management in O-NET assessment. The research instruments used for data collection were the score record form and the questionnaire with a reliability of 0.962. The data were statistically analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.           

                The results showed that:

                1.  According to the average O-NET scores of grade 6 students in the years of 2010 and 2013, the learning substances with the highest average scores were health and physical education and career and technology, while the one with the lowest average scores was foreign language. Similarly, in accordance with the average O-NET scores of grade 9 students in the years of 2010 and 2013, the learning substance with the highest average scores was health and physical eucation, while the one with the lowest average scores was also foreign.

                2.  The data management of O-NET assessment in overall and each aspect classified, the study found that, all school size regularly provide and manage O-NET assessment. And when study on considered each aspect in descending order, the first three aspects that were at the highest level comprised using information, data collecting  and O-NET reporting, respectively.
