Abstract
The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the guidelines for lifelong learning skill-oriented instruction in pilot schools within the Educational Innovation Area under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Bangkok 2; 2) to evaluate the guidelines for lifelong learning skill-oriented instruction; and 3) to study the learning outcomes that emphasize lifelong learning skills of learners. The data providers were 7 experts, 7 teachers, and 255 students. Data were collected through face-to-face focus group discussions and via email submission of assessment results. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis, while quantitative data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation.
The research findings revealed that: 1) The lifelong learning skill-oriented instructional approach consists of six steps: (1) defining situations and problems, (2) studying and gathering information, (3) designing learning pathways, (4) engaging in group activities, (5) presenting and evaluating work, and (6) reflecting on lessons and experiences; 2) The overall evaluation results were at the highest level; and 3) The learning outcomes that emphasize lifelong learning skills of learners showed clear development in critical thinking, information research, learning planning, teamwork, communication, and reflection, which promoted continuous learning and practical application.
